WORK BEFORE GLORY♞
Hi I'm Christine. I've been riding for 5 years and have shown on the A/B circuit. I reside in B.C Canada and hope to become a Grand Prix rider someday.

Riding has got to be one of the most challenging sports, mentally, and physically, and sometimes I wonder what it is that makes me want to stick with it. I understand that everyone has good days and bad days, that’s what the video is designed to show. We all have our ups and downs, some more than others but it happens to everybody. Everyone sets goals for themselves but the funny thing about riding is those dreams can be crushed in a matter of seconds, but we need to find the courage to believe in ourselves to make them happen.

I have a lot of people tell me they love the fact I can just laugh at myself when I make mistakes, but I don’t understand why you wouldn’t? At the end of the day does it really matter if you fall off, have a rail or lose the class by milliseconds? I learn from every mistake I make and I try my hardest not to give up. To me riding isn’t necessarily going out every weekend and winning your division, riding to me is creating a bond with an animal you love and working together to accomplish what you want.

This sport has caused more tears, frustration and confidence issues than anything else in the world. But it’s something I enjoy doing, I look forward to seeing my horses everyday and I have developed a bond that helps me in the ring. Not everyday is going to go as planned but it’s just teaching us that anything can happen, even to the best of us.
